About
About Pantensa
This site describes a product that has not launched, using nutrition data from public databases. Both of those are easy to write dishonestly. This page says who writes it and what the rules are.
Who builds Pantensa
Pantensa is built by one person: Yurii Serhovskyi, who writes the app, the site and every word on it, and who is also the named data controller for pantensa.com. There is no company behind the name and no editorial team — the byline in the footer is the whole list.
That is worth stating plainly rather than hiding behind a plural "we". It is the reason the claims on this site are conservative: there is nobody to blame a wrong one on.
What Pantensa is, today
Pantensa is a nutrition tracker and meal planner built around one shared food catalog for a household. It is in development and not open to users. The only thing you can do today is join the waitlist and receive one email when it opens.
The interactive screens on this site are prototypes running on invented data. They are labelled as prototypes on every page that carries one, because a working screen is the easiest thing here to mistake for a shipped product.
How the pages here are written
Five rules, applied to every page on this site, and checked by the build rather than by memory:
- The first release and Pantry mode are never blurred. Pantry mode is not in the first release. Wherever it appears it carries a visible label, and the build fails if a page about it ships without one.
- No feature is described before it is decided. If a capability is not in the release scope, it is either absent or marked as later. There are no roadmap dates anywhere on this site, because there are none to give.
- No invented social proof. There are no testimonials, no review scores, no user counts and no "trusted by" logos, because there are no users yet. Nothing in the structured data claims otherwise.
- No screenshots of the running app. The visuals are illustrations, prototypes and recordings of prototypes. Where a recording shows something the first release does not have, the caption says so.
- Prices are stated once and not dressed up. $12 per month per household, $9 locked in for waitlist members. Whether a future Pantry mode is included in that is undecided, and is therefore not implied.
Where nutrition numbers come from
Product and ingredient data in Pantensa comes from public food databases: Open Food Facts, which is where most packaged goods live, and USDA FoodData Central, which is where generic foods live.
Neither is perfect and this site will not pretend otherwise. Open Food Facts is crowd-maintained, manufacturers reformulate products without changing the barcode, and the serving size printed on a package is frequently not the one anyone eats. That is precisely why Pantensa imports a value as a draft you review and can edit, rather than as a fact.
Where a page on this site quotes a specific number, it names its source next to it.
Not medical advice
Pantensa is a nutrition tracking and meal planning tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and nothing on this site is medical or dietary advice. Targets are numbers you choose or bring from elsewhere; Pantensa counts against them and does not tell you what they should be. For anything concerning a health condition, pregnancy, a clinical diet or a child's nutrition, talk to a qualified professional.
